LIMS has had its own cup of tea and it was time that LIMS applications understood that it is very difficult to survive in the market without having an ELN capability in place. I find that several top LIMS companies started to introduce ELNs as their module or co-product or built-in feature.
The moment the term ELN is mentioned it used to be directly linked to research!! I believe ELNS were mainly designed work for the recording of research work.
I will be happy if anyone can comment on the ELN usage in QC or analytical development environment
